Technical Details Recorded Via This Website

This website sets no cookies. On our own domain we count visits with a privacy-first analytics service that sets no cookies and stores no personal data: it reads a visitor's IP address only for the moment it takes to count a visit, and keeps nothing that identifies anybody. This website also records, for each page opened, the page itself, the page or search result the visit came from, any campaign tags in the web address, whether the visitor is on a phone, a tablet or a computer, and taps on the firm's phone number and on the button that opens an enquiry: nothing is stored in the visitor's browser to do it, nothing in that record identifies a visitor or a browser, and the identification string a browser sends about itself is no longer kept at all, only which kind of device it is, or that it could not be told. That record is collected on our behalf and on our instructions by PageMax, the provider that runs this website, as our processor, is used only to see which pages lead people to get in touch and to tell when something on the site has stopped working, is never used for advertising and is never given to anyone else, and is kept only for as long as we need it to understand how the site is used. The chat assistant keeps nothing in a visitor's browser until the visitor uses it, and that stays true when the window opens itself, which it may do after a few seconds on a page: from the moment they tap it open, tap one of its suggestions or type, the browser keeps a short reference for that visit, so that the conversation, any enquiry sent and the pages visited from then on can be joined up. If the visitor closes the chat window, or brushes away a short greeting beside it, the browser remembers that for the visit, so that the window is not opened at them again and the greeting is not shown again. The record of the visit also notes when the chat opened, whether the visitor opened it or it opened itself, when a conversation started, and when the callback form was shown or a send failed. These references are not cookies, the browser clears them when the tab is closed, no other website can read them, and they are used for nothing else. This website carries no advertising scripts, and it has no display-advertising features to opt out of. How we use the information you send us is set out in our privacy notice.

Where your information is processed

The firm's website database and enquiry records are stored in the European Union. The website's chat assistant writes its replies, and the summary of each enquiry for the firm, using AI models run by specialist providers, largely on infrastructure in the United States, working for the firm's website provider under data-processing agreements, and some of the website provider's email and technical services are based there too. Part of the website provider's platform is hosted elsewhere in Europe, including the United Kingdom, which the European Union recognises as protecting personal data adequately. Transfers to the United States are protected by the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the European Union's standard contractual clauses, and the AI providers never use what passes through to train AI models.
